As You See The World

Another cat has wandered into the wild. I have a new story in the January/February 2025 issue of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine.

"As You See The World" is a 3300-word story about a stifled young woman who has her car stolen -- and her dog along with it -- and then determines to steal them both back. It's about crime and obsession, but also about taking risks, fresh starts, and … how you look at the world. This is my second story at Ellery Queen, following 2023's “Teddy's Favorite Thing,” and with Queen having purchased two more of my stories and others still in the queue, I hope to be appearing there for years to come.

You can find the January/February 2025 issue of Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine on American newsstands at Barnes & Noble. I've heard you'll find it on stands at Rexall Pharmacy in Canada, too. The magazine is also available digitally, both directly from the publisher and via Amazon.

Story notes will follow in a couple weeks. If you read the story, please let me know what you think!
